DELAWARE COUNTY, Indiana – The community’s newest employer and the Eastern United States headquarters of a growing Montana-based trucking company will open January 10 in Delaware County.

Jones Brothers Trucking invites the public to the grand opening and ribbon-cutting for its new facility at 1901 W. Mount Pleasant Blvd.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10. Food and refreshments will be served.

Construction on the new, state-of-the-art Jones Brothers facility was completed over the past few months and represents an investment of $2 million. The new headquarters will serve as the hub of the company’s Eastern U.S. business, Paul Jenkin, president of Eastern Operations, said.

The building is 8,500 square feet in size but the biggest economic impact to the new facility is the 50 trucks, representing a $9-million investment, that will work out of the terminal.

Jones Brothers owns 70 trucks that haul flatbed trailers of goods, but it also acts as a logistics brokerage, connecting companies that need to ship goods to thousands of trucks available to haul.

The company pays for 200 hours of commercial drivers’ license (CDL) training for drivers it hires.

Jones Brothers operates in 48 states.

“Jones Brothers Trucking has proven their commitment to Delaware County,” Commissioner President Sherry Riggin said. “We’re so pleased to have them as part of our community.”

“The investment of Jones Brothers Trucking, and the tax base it brings, is a real asset to Delaware County,” Commissioner Shannon Henry said.

“We’re happy to welcome Jones Brothers Trucking to the Crossroads of America, right here in Delaware County,” Commissioner James King said.

“Jones Brothers Trucking is a huge addition to our local industrial community,” said Brad Bookout, Delaware County Director of Municipal and Economic Affairs. “It’s vital to growing industrial businesses like CANPACK and INOX, who are ably demonstrating their own investment in Delaware County.”
