MUNCIE, IN—The Economic Development Alliance of Muncie-Delaware County is proud to recognize two team members for recently completing significant milestones in nationally recognized economic development training programs.
Erin Williamson, Project Manager, recently completed her first year at the Oklahoma University’s Economic Development Institute (OUEDI), a nationally recognized professional development program for economic development practitioners.
OUEDI brings together economic development professionals from across the country to engage in advanced training, collaboration, and practical learning experiences. Through the program, participants gain knowledge and tools to address complex economic development challenges while building valuable professional networks.
EDA is also pleased to announce that Gina Caravaglia, Delaware County Redevelopment Commission Coordinator, has successfully completed the Indiana Economic Development Course through Ball State University’s Indiana Communities Institute. Accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the course serves as a prerequisite for admission to OUEDI.
The comprehensive program introduces the full spectrum of economic development practice, including business retention and expansion, site selection, workforce development, strategic planning, and community development. These topics align closely with the Alliance’s ongoing efforts to support business growth, attract investment, and strengthen the economy of Muncie and Delaware County.
Investing in professional development ensures that the Economic Development Alliance remains equipped with the latest tools, knowledge, and industry best practices to support business attraction, retention, expansion, workforce initiatives, and long-term economic growth throughout the County.
