MUNCIE, IN—Regional public accounting and advisory firm Whitinger & Company has announced the promotion of Daniel Maggart to Manager.
Daniel, a resident of Muncie, Indiana, is originally from Winchester. He obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting from Ball State University. As a Manager, Daniel plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to clients and fostering the growth of staff members. His expertise includes income tax return preparation for businesses and individuals, business consulting, and assurance services. Additionally, Daniel acts as a mentor for interns and new staff accountants.
Daniel’s experience at Whitinger dates back to 2012 when he completed an accounting internship and joined the company full-time in 2013. He served as a Staff Accountant until April 2017, when he accepted an accounting position with a construction company. Later, he became the company’s controller from 2019-2021. Maggart returned to Whitinger in 2021 as a Senior Accountant.
Outside of work, Daniel is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and dedicates his time to various community initiatives. He serves as a board member and chair for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is also involved with the Muncie YMCA as a finance committee member. Additionally, he holds the position of board member and treasurer for the Muncie Sports Commission. On a personal note, Daniel, his wife Katy, and their young daughter attend Union Chapel Ministries. They enjoy spending time with friends and family. In his free time, Daniel remains active, engaging in activities such as basketball, golf, and disc golf.
