MUNCIE, IN—Whitinger & Company LLC is proud to announce that accountants Dane Denniston and Austin Lawrence recently received their CPA licenses.
Dane is a native of Columbus, Indiana, and works out of the firm’s Fishers office. As a Senior Accountant, Dane’s primary responsibilities are professional tax preparation and auditing services for individuals, commercial clients, and nonprofit organizations. Before joining Whitinger & Company full-time, he completed internships with the firm in 2020 & 2021.
Dane earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting with a minor in Financial Planning from Ball State University’s Miller College of Business. Dane received the Ball State Presidential Scholarship and was recognized on the Dean’s List multiple times. He was a Beta Gamma Sigma business fraternity member and was active in Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship.
Austin Lawrence is a Staff Accountant in the firm’s Muncie office and works in all areas of the practice, including tax and assurance. His responsibilities include accounting, auditing, consulting, and tax compliance services for small businesses, individuals, and nonprofit organizations. Austin is a CPA and a member of the Indiana CPA Society. Before joining Whitinger & Company as a Staff Accountant, he was a Tax Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Austin is a native of Winchester, Indiana, where he remains active in the community. He attends Freedom Life Church and helped start two organizations designed to help high school students become positive leaders and contributors in the community. Austin went on to excel in the classroom at Purdue University, receiving his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting.
